I graduated from university and wished I knew ahead of time the resources available at my school. Learning from my experience, I created a list of resources to help you make the most of your student life at the University of Toronto.

Many alumni will tell you to try new things and get involved with the community. My only advice is to keep challenging yourself, learn from your mistakes and keep going. From my experience, it took a long time before I met the right people and learned how to manage my time effectively. It’s okay to take your time and go at your own pace.

How Can I Make the Most of My Student Life in Univeristy?

  • Join your residence facebook group at U of T. This is where you will find the latest information on residence events, meet other peers, study events, free food and more.
  • Get your TCard early and learn about the student services that you have access to. Your TCard is your identification for academic use and access to facilities such as the library, athletic facilities, exams, meal plans, online learning portal and more.

Where Can I Get Support for My Career? Are There Free Services on Campus?

  • Check out the Career Exploration and Education at U of T. It includes all the resources for resume support, jobs, mentorship, community programs, research and more.
