Meet Adrianna and Dalton

Adrianna: “We met through mutual friends in middle school and we are both from Charlotte, North Carolina.

I think our personalities are really what make our relationship. We could be in a crowded room but only see each other. If it were up to us, we would find another planet and live there just the two of us.

Some of our favorite memories were when we visited each other while he was in boarding school, our first holiday together and when we moved in together!”

What is the best and worst part of your relationship?

Adrianna: “The best part is our love, our kindness, our friendship, our goofiness. The worst is we care so much about each other’s emotions that we sometimes get sad for the other person.”

What have you learned from this relationship?

Adrianna: “I have learned a lot of patience. I also learned that while we are so much alike we have a lot of different characteristics about us. I have gained a new perspective on life. This relationship has also taught me how precious life and love is.”

How do you keep it interesting?

Adrianna: “We do little dates all the time, whether we do a fun wine and painting activity, or lay in bed and watch movies all day or go on a hike get dressed up and have dinner. We also always surprise each other with their favorite things. Such as their favorite drink or snack.”

How do you know your relationship is worth it?

Adrianna: “I knew when I was 16 years old doing anything and everything in my power by saving every cent I had & spending every weekend driving or riding 6 1/2 hours with his parents to go see him. I knew when I pictured my life without him and I couldn’t do it.”

What are you looking forward to? What are your future plans with Dalton?

Adrianna: “We are looking forward to getting married and having kids. As we are in our final years of college which has included a lot of hard work, we are both doing the most we can so that we can have a successful and fun-filled life together. But nothing matters to us except for the other person. Keep love the focus in your relationship.

Adrianna: “Make sure they are your best friend. Grow together not apart. You both have to make sacrifices and understand a relationship is 50/50. If you aren’t getting something you need from them communicate! Communication really is key. Don’t be so serious either, talk about your insecurities, talk about simple things, talk about hard things & most importantly laugh a lot. Life is too short to be angry over little things.

Communication, dedication and honesty are important traits to have a successful relationship!

When you know, you know. I truly feel it in my soul that we are meant for each other. Love is hard but so is being lonely. If someone is worth fighting for, give it all of your efforts.”
