What To Do When You’re Feeling Down
Unsure of what to do when you’re feeling sad?
Here is a quick guide of things to do when you’re having a bad day from my dear friend, Elorm.
3 Things to do if You’re Feeling Down
- “Feel it now so it doesn’t come back later in a detrimental way” (Elorm Agbeyaka).
- Don’t dwell on the situation for too long because it will only weigh you down. “How else are you supposed to move on, if you keep thinking about it?”
- Divert your energy to your work and hobbies. Prioritize the things you love to do.
Sometimes it helps to vent out your negative emotions. So call a friend or write in your journal. When we say our negative thoughts out loud, we will have a better understanding of how to handle the situation.
